Since 2015, I have been working on establishing a new visual identity for an old bar in Lincoln Park, Chicago.
Their old logo was outdated and needed to be refreshed. The new owner of Sedgwick’s wanted to bring in a new crowd that appreciated their exclusive selection of beer, gourmet pub food, and comfortable family friendly atmosphere.
This new identity kept the familiar aesthetic of an established neighborhood bar. An updated logo created a rememberable brand that is much easier to work with across multiple platforms.
Along with the new Sedgwick’s Bar logo, I also designed a new awning, entranceway mural, menu, and an outdoor mural. The mural outside was more of a public display of art rather than branding for Sedgwick’s, but I still incorporated hints of the logo within the painting.
Working with Sedgwick’s has been one of the most rewarding experiences. I love working with small business. There are so many people out there with great ideas and business that just need proper visual branding to be successful.
